Brittany has worked in the mental health field since 2010. Through her experiences working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, she found the importance of the whole family system and the positive impact of support both inside and outside of the home. Her own experience becoming a mother, and the unanticipated challenges it created, moved her to focus her work on supporting families through transitions in the reproductive years, as it transforms the brain, body, and relationships. Brittany provides a space for her clients to tell their story and feel supported during a sensitive and challenging time. She is trained in Emotion Focused Therapy for couples, assisting couples in creating emotional safety and developing a secure attachment within the relationship.

Brittany received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Kansas city in 2016. She is a member of the LGBT Affirming Therapists of Kansas City Association. Brittany is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to help individuals effectively manage and reduce symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She completed her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) through a perinatal lens at Touchstone Institute. She has received training from Karen Kleiman through the Postpartum Stress Center to assist clients experiencing perinatal distress. Brittany has also received her Certificate of Completion in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International.
