In 2003, Meeka established Centimano Counseling, the first perinatal mood and anxiety disorder counseling practice in Kansas City. Her efforts were driven by finding no resources or specialty providers for new parents. She has spent her career using her personal experience and professional expertise to help others find hope and recovery. As part of her commitment to build the perinatal professional community Meeka was a part of the original committee to create the Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) available through Postpartum Support International

Over the last 20 years Meeka has had the opportunity to speak to many organizations and educate professionals. She has been a keynote speaker, educator and collaborator with community groups, mental health providers, and healthcare professionals. Her advocacy for change has been featured in Parents Magazine, The Kansas City Star, Fit Pregnancy, and NPR. She has collaborated with the University of California-Berkley, Postpartum Support International, the KU Medical Center, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City Maternal Child Health Coalition, St. Luke's Health System, Advent, Kansas State Health Department, and Parents-As-Teachers National.

She has completed numerous courses with Karen Kleiman, LCSW, at the Postpartum Stress Center in Philadelphia, PA

Kim Hawley has been serving perinatal families since 2018. She does so many things at Centimano Counseling we often refer to her as our Coordinator of All Things. She is a perinatal therapist, the first point of contact for clients and community partners and coordinates our NICU Support Program.

Kim is also the Founder and Board President for the 501-C-3 Whole Parent Foundation. She founded Strength Through Story, a free, online support group that focuses on healing through storytelling. It was the first of it’s kind in the nation. She serves as the Postpartum Support International (PSI) State Lead Coordinator for Missouri and is on the PSI-MO board. She is a part of the MO statewide effort to improving postpartum care for moms who have Medicaid.

Kim completed her master’s in social work at The University of MIchigan. She has received certification from Postpartum Support International in support group facilitation, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) and perinatal mental health care.

Kara is a clinically licensed social worker with over 15 years’ experience in maternal mental health. The focus of her work includes supporting families throughout their reproductive journey.

Kara believes that the family you came from can impact the family that you are creating, and her therapeutic approaches pulls from family systems, trauma, and cognitive behavioral methods.  

Kara graduated from the University of Iowa in 2006 with her Master’s Degree in Public Health where she specialized in Maternal, Child and Family Health. During that time, she worked with Dr. Michael O’Hara and Dr. Scott Stuart—prominent researchers and clinicians in postpartum mood disorders. In 2009, she received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. She received her Certificate of Completion in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International in 2014 and her Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health in 2022.

Tiffany Kann, LMSW

Tiffany has been in the mental health field for 10 years. She was drawn to the profession because of her passion for working with people that were surviving trauma and grief. She has a passion for facilitating groups that allow stories to be told, education to be shared, and communal support to facilitate the healing process. Her practice experience has included hospital crisis response for domestic violence centers, running grief support groups, and individual therapy for grief, trauma, parenting, and relationship concerns.

Tiffany received her master’s degree from the University of Kansas and became a licensed social worker in 2014. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker pursuing Clinical licensure under the supervision of Meeka Centimano (KS Lic. #3830). During her time at The University of Kansas she fell in love with both research and practice. She has worked on research projects for parent support programs and services, teen pregnancy prevention, and traumatic loss and grief. Tiffany has completed her Certificate in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International.


Brittany Hosey, LMSW

Brittany has worked in the mental health field since 2010. Through her experiences working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, she found the importance of the whole family system and the positive impact of support both inside and outside of the home. Her own experience becoming a mother, and the unanticipated challenges it created, moved her to focus her work on supporting women and their families through transitions in the reproductive years, as it transforms the brain, body, and relationships. Brittany provides a space for her clients to tell their story and feel supported during a sensitive and challenging time. 

Brittany is a licensed master social worker pursuing clinical licensure under the supervision of Meeka Centimano (KS Lic. #3830). Brittany earned her Master’s degree in social work from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Brittany has also received her Certificate of Completion In Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International.

Kristine is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has over 10 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan. Through her experience of working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, she recognized the crucial importance of addressing mental health during the perinatal period. It led her to want to focus on the family from the beginning.

Her practice experience has included working at a community mental health center, a children’s advocacy center, running parent support groups, and individual therapy for trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. Kristine provides a space for her clients to be themselves as they show up and feel safe and supported during their challenging time.

Kristine graduated from Avila University in 2012 with her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology where she specialized in working with Children and Adolescents. She is a Registered Play Therapist and received that certification from KC Play in 2013. Kristine completed her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy through EMDR Consulting in 2015. She received her Certificate of Completion in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder through Postpartum Support International in 2021 and her Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health in 2022.


Sadie Chandler, LCSW

Sadie is a licensed clinical social worker and has worked as a mental health provider in community mental health, inpatient hospital settings, and private practice. In her 10 years of practice with different parts of the family, she has developed a deep interest in addressing the unanticipated challenges of parenthood. Becoming a parent herself allowed her to see just how challenging the transitions can be. Sadie uses her areas of knowledge and training to address how our own early experiences in family can impact our relationships and parenting experiences.

Sadie received her Master’s in Social Work in 2017. She has also received her Certificate of Completion in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International. She has training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and is currently in consultation to become a certified EMDR therapist. Sadie has training in Attachment-Focused Trauma in Adults with Deb Wesselmann and Ann Potter.
